Events, photos, business listings and corrections all have their own short forms now, because a page with four of them stacked up was a page nobody could read. They are free, and everything gets checked against a real source before it goes up.

Tell us about a place
Been somewhere on the 7 that deserves more people? Write and tell us about it. We print reader reviews in your own words, credited however you like — first name and last initial is the usual — and we always ask before publishing. There are no stars or scores here and there won't be: one person who actually ate the poutine is worth more than a score out of five. We check the place out before it goes up, so tell us where it is and roughly when you were there.

Advertising & featured placement
Three things are for sale, and they are the only three. They are how the site pays for its gas. Email us for the media kit and current rates.
- A featured listing on your town's page. Your entry sits at the top of its section with a gold edge and a Featured mark. Same for rental owners and agents in the Live & Stay directory.
- A card inside a guide. Your wordmark, your name through to your own site, and a line about what you do — set a few entries into the list on the guide that sends people looking for what you sell. The marina sits on the boat launches guide. One business per guide, and most guides carry none: we only offer it where you actually answer the question the guide leaves the reader with, which is also the only reason it works.
- The Thursday email. Sponsorship of an issue of the newsletter.
The standing rule: paid placement buys visibility, never inclusion or editorial opinion. A guide card says Supports this guide when it has been paid for, and we write the words on it ourselves, the same as every other line on this site.
