We asked you to send us the colour along the 7, and you did. Fall on the 7 is up now with eighteen photos, almost all of them yours: dawn east from Kingston Line near Maberly, the maples at Mathison Conservation Area in Havelock, a farm on Silver Lake, a lily pad pond at Sharbot Lake. Every one carries the name of the person who took it.

Press Play the drive at the top of the album and the photos run full screen in road order, Ottawa end to Peterborough end, with a little car moving along the 7 as you go. It’s best on a big screen with a coffee.
The album stays open until November 15, and the leaves are coming down fast. If there’s one on your phone, send it in and pick the nearest town. We’ll put our favourites in the email on November 5.
Saturday the 24th
In Sharbot Lake, the farmers’ market moves indoors to Oso Hall for the Harvest Feast & Night Market, 4 to 8. Dinner is three casual courses made from the market farmers’ own food, on a menu by Rampant Kitchen, with Kick & Push Brewery and Winding Rd Coffee Co on site and Jonathan Jones playing. Tickets are $55 with a K&P drink included, from the brewery or by e-transfer to therisefarm@gmail.com.
Earlier in the day, The Great Fall Market fills the Madoc Art Centre and its parking lot from 10 to 4, free. The Perth fairgrounds host Mega Machine Day from 11 to 2, and Smiths Falls gives the whole weekend to its Spooktacular, with a Mystic Market on Russell Street East that evening, 5 to 9.
On Sunday the 25th, blues guitarist Rick Fines plays the Old Stone Hall, right on the 7 at Havelock, from 2 to 4. Advance tickets are $30 online until midnight Saturday.
Monday the 26th: vote
Every council along the road is elected on Monday. Most towns on the 7 vote only by phone or online, and everywhere that has published a closing time, voting ends at 8pm. Our election guide covers how and where for fourteen municipalities, help centres included.
Halloween weekend
On Friday the 30th, St. Paul’s United in Perth screens Dracula at 7:30 with a new score by Perth composer Mark Bailey, played live. On Saturday the 31st, Carleton Place runs Trunk or Treat in Market Square from 1 to 4, and the Marmora Lions close Forsyth Street for Trunk and Treat from 4:30, with a zombie walk this year. The Havelock Centre has hot dogs and a warm room for trick-or-treaters from 6 to 7. Perth’s farmers’ market also comes back that day for one Harvest Market.
Running an event along the corridor? Send it our way and we’ll list it for free. See you on the road.
