Who it's for
Mostly the places with no website of their own: the chip truck on the corner, the farm stand, the Legion, the church hall, the shop that's been open forty years on word of mouth. Your page on On the 7 is already the thing that turns up when somebody searches for you. This is how you get to say what's on it.
What you can change
- A header photo across the top of the page, and up to eight more photos
- A colour for your page
- A few paragraphs about the place, in your own words
- Your hours and your season
- Your phone number, address, Facebook page and website
The short description at the top of the page stays ours, written the way we write about every stop on the road. Your words go underneath it, marked as yours.
How it works
We give you a private link. There's no account and no password: open the link on your phone, bookmark it, and come back whenever something changes. Photos shrink themselves on your phone before they're sent, so it works on one bar of signal.
We read every change before it goes live, usually within a day or two, and your page then says it was updated by the owner. We'll take out health claims and digs at the place down the road, and that's about it.
Photos have to be yours, or taken by somebody who's happy for us to use them.
Getting your link
Email us and tell us which place is yours. We'll check it with you (usually a phone call to the number on your sign or your Facebook page) and send the link. If you lose it, or somebody else ends up with it, tell us and we'll switch it off and send a new one.
Not on the site yet? Send us your place first, and ask for a link once it's up.
