Silver Lake free public access
The free alternative to the provincial park's fee gate, a small picnic and parking stop off the highway at Silver Lake. A reader who was there this summer reports a boat launch and swimming, either from the launch or off the rocks, and no fees. We haven't pinned down the exact turn yet, so look for it rather than trusting a pin.
